LAKE RECREATION

Take advantage of the lake that gives the Island City it's name! Beautiful Beaver Dam Lake surrounds Cumberland and is a perfect destination for any and all people who love to have fun on the water.

 

Boating, tubing, water skiing, wakeboarding, jet skiing, swimming; these are just some of the many thrilling things to do on this pristine body of water!

FISHING

Perfect for any angler or outdoorsman, the Cumberland area is littered with lakes and secret fishing holes! Headlined by Beaver Dam Lake, the Cumberland area is the ideal destination for those who hope to real in that monster bass or walleye that'll be an excellent filet on a Friday night!  Don't forget about the winter fishing & the annual state ice fishing contest in the Island City. 

SNOWMOBILING

Come enjoy the state snowmobile trails around Cumberland and it's surrounding area. Trail #39 is accessible and runs right behind the Ambrose Motel.  Enjoy a scenic ride on the trail, or let it loose on the frozen lake! Plenty of thrills to be had during the cold winter months.

HUNTING

Barron County is home to some of the biggest and most plentiful deer in the entire state! Year after year the big game hunters and sportsman come back to track down their own "wall-worthy" buck.  The heavy woods in our area produces these beautiful animals prime for the hunt.

GOLFING

What better place to shave some strokes off your score than Cumberland Golf Course? A lovely 18-hole municipal golf course that provides a challenge and enjoyablity for all ages and skill levels.

The course is complete with a driving range, putting green, full bar, and restaurant.

DINING & FOOD

Due to the rich cultural backgrounds of the Cumberland area, our cozy little town has a wealth of delicious restaurants to serve every palate.
